Who is Magsy?

Jose Bernabe“Magsy” Magbanua received his undergraduate degree in Philippine Mass Media and his Master of Marketing Communications graduate degree  from De La Salle University (DLSU). Alongside his photography and video work, he is doing his practice on marketing.

Having started photography as the photo editor of one of DLSU’s official student publications and as the coverage pool head of DLSU's events production group, Magbanua is largely self-taught. He expanded his range through portrait, travel, food, concert, and magazine photography through collaboration with different brands and agencies. He is currently a contributing photographer of asianTraveler magazine --- the longest running travel magazine in Asia.

Magbanua has also ventured into video, having done projects for companies such as The Medical City, Microsoft, and BPI.
